George was born in Appenheim, Germany. He married
Anna Martha Kolb in Appenheim in 1815. (The surname spelling in Appenheim was
Rodenmeyer). At the time of their marriage,
George was 23 and Anna Martha was 20.
According to Appenheim records, the couple had eight children all born in that area:
Barbara, George, John, William, Henry, Philip,
Peter, and Jacob. It appears that Peter died in Germany prior to the family emigrating to the States.
George Rodenmoyer died 15 Dec
1874 in Otter Creek Township. His wife Anna Died 18 Feb 1881, also
in Otter Creek Township. They are buried in Jerusalem
Reformed Cemetery.
