Son of John Bromley, Sr., and
Frances Holmes (1st wife) both of England. Michael was christened on 11 January 1819 in Kirk Ireton, Derby, England. According to
John Bromley's naturalization papers, the family
arrived in New York in July of 1830. Michael married
Margaret B. McCormick of Mercer County, daughter of
Archibald and Jane (Hill) McCormick on 17
Dec 1842.
The couple had 8 children: Florence E., Jane, John L., Michael R., Mary F., Loretta, Frances, and
Evaline.
Michael Bromley died
in 1902 and is buried in Bethany
Cemetery in Lake Township.
