Daughters of Alexander F. and Mary Eleanor Burdett Johnston - Wilda, Bertha Lee, Nettie Geraldine, and Mary Ella

Wilda Johnston was born 4 Feb 1888 at Cooperstown, Venango Co., PA.  She died 28 Oct 1941 in Coolidge, AZ.

Bertha Lee Johnston was born 13 Sept 1891 at Centertown, Mercer County, PA.  She married Joseph Marmaduke Stubblefield of Rogers, Ark., on 1 Jan 1914 in Florence, CO.  They were the parents of six children.  She died 30 Oct 1931 at Coolidge, AZ.

Nettie Geraldine Johnston was born 9 Sept 1889 at Millbrook, Mercer Co., PA.  She married Ernest Charles Tremayne of Upper Beaver, CO., on 19 Jan 1909 at Canon City, CO.  They were the parents of four children.  She died 23 Jul 1923 at Kalispell, Montana.

Mary Eleanor "Ella" Johnston was born 1 Oct 1876 in Butler Co., PA.  Statement from Mary about herself from her DAR application: "Following the death of my mother [Mary Eleanor Burdett Johnston died in 1895], I assumed the responsibility as head of our home and with the help of my father we reared by three younger sisters [shown above].  Upon the death of my sister Nettie Geraldine, I again found myself with a family to rear.  My brother June and I adopted these four children and cared for them as our own."
