Seeking information on George GOHO (GEHO) (b.1824, PA; d.1906, NY) married to Theresa MUFFLEY (b.14 Apr 1826, PA; d.1 Sep 1919, NY). They both moved to Livingston Co, NY with their families and were married at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dansville, NY. Theresa's obituary in the Dansville Express stated that she was born in Monroe Co, PA.

Seeking the name of the wife of Philip MOYER. My records indicate they had a child, Lydia MOYER in 1855. Philip and his wife resided in Monroe County, PA at that time. Family history says Lydia was 1/2 Native American. Would MOYER be a line of Native American families? If so, what group? Any information on this line would be greatly appreciated. Also seeking death date and maiden name of Barbara MOYER (b.1818, PA). She lived in Stormsville, Polk twp, Monroe Co, PA according to the 1870 census. Seeking birth/death dates of Levi KNECHT (b. Monroe Co, PA). He married ___ BOUSER (b. Monroe Co, PA> and they lived in Pleasant Valley, PA in 1857. They had a son, Thomas.

I am interested in finding more about the family of my father-in-law. He, Henry ELTZ was about 2-4 years of age at the time of the death of his parents in 1918 (Charles and Agnes BUSH/BUSCH). They probably died from the great flu epidemic of 1918. Henry had a sister, Marie, maybe two years younger than himself, and a brother (or step-brother) Charles ELTZ also about 4 yrs old in 1918. Henry lived in St. Matthews orphanage until he was 18. The records of the orphanage and church were supposedly burned.

History leading to Aaron SAGER (b.7 Apr 1826; d.17 Oct 1917, Bloomsburg, PA). White girl kidnapped by Algonquin Indians near Stroudsburg, PA. She lived with them for about a year and was married to an Indian Chief. Later she stole a horse and escaped but by then she was pregnant. She had a son and was later married to a man by the name of SAGER and the boy took his step-father's name (SAGER). Later, the boy married and had a son by the name of Jim SAGER. Jim married and had my ggrandfather, Aaron SAGER. Aaron married a Sarah ROMIC and had 3 (possibly 4) children. The three known were listed in Aaron's 1917 obituary as Mrs. Nelson SHAD of Alden, PA; Mrs. J. NOSS of Shenandoah, PA; and Mrs. Levi WELSH of Hazelton, PA.Aaron and Sarah divorced and Aaron married my ggrandmother, Anna Martha ISLEIB in 1869. Anna (b.6 Jun 1852, Saxony, Germany) came to the US about 1856. Her parents were Joseph and Catherine Julia BOTTLEMESS from Saxony, Germany. Anna also had a sister, Mary (b.1858). Children of Aaron and Anna were: Emma Alissa (b.14 Nov 1869, Hazelton, PA) Elias W. (b.5 Apr 1871, Hazelton, PA) Anna Mary (b.22 Feb 1873, Hazelton, PA) Elizabeth (Lizzie) (b.31 Jul 1874, Hazelton, PA) Catherine (Kitty) Julia (b.11 Apr 1877, Sugar Loaf Valley, PA) George Wm. (b.11 Mar 1879, Sugar Loaf Valley, PA) Sarah Ann (b.4 Nov 1885, Turnpike, Sugar Loaf Valley, PA) Lydia Ellen (b.4 Nov 1885, Turnpike, Sugar Loaf Valley, PA) Anna Martha left Aaron in 1891 and later married LaFayette (Mikey) C. MICHAEL on 15 Apr 1893. They had no children.

Looking for information on Elizabeth KEIPER (b.1732; d.9-2-1795; bd.Lime Kiln Schoolhouse, Northampton Co, PA). She married Daniel HELLER. The HELLER family resided in both Monroe and Northampton counties.

Seeking information on BUSH family, originally from White Haven, Luzerne County, PA. Around 1870 they resided in Shawnee where my grandmother was born. Hiram BUSH (b.abt 1833) and Celinda Harriett RIPPLE (b.Mar 1838; d.1921/2) had at least eleven children: Edwin George Abraham Carrie Belle Anne Anzi? Julia (b.Dec 1874) - my grandmother Horatio Nettie and ? Julia was born a twin and the twin died and is presumably buried in Monroe County. Several other children died but I don't know what county. I would like to find out what the twin's name was and perhaps find out what church they went to and what cemetery I should look in.

Seeking information about Samuel HANEY (b.4 Apr 1848; d.8 Aug 1912) and Sarah Elizabeth MARVIN (b.1 Jan 1848; d.7-8-1916), both buried in East Stroudsburg. Samuel's parents were John HANEY and Julia HUSMITH. John and Julia also had a daughter, Sarah. The Samuel HANEY family plot is shared with the KING family, (Stroud S. KING, Emma M. HANEY KING (dau. of Samuel HANEY), and Herbert S. KING (son of Stroud KING).

I am searching for any background on the family of Jonathan HARTMAN (b.abt 1790) who lived in Hamilton, Monroe, PA in the early-mid 1800s. One of his sons was named Aaron (b.abt 1825). Possibly Samuel and John were his sons as well. Aaron married a Christianna. They had sons William and Edwin F. and probably others.

Revolutionary War Vet John Christopher COLBEY (Pension Abstracts #S9207) after the war moved from Berks Co in 1783 to Smithfield Twp. His wife's name was Anna. His sons were probably James and Henry (Heinrich) and born about 1784 possibly near Delaware Water Gap.

I am looking for any information on the VERNOY family. My grandfather, Albert "Doc" VERNOY was born in the mid 1800s and died in 1932. He had four sons and two daughters that I know of, the names I know of are Darwin, Harry, Frank and Elsie. Doc VERNOY is mentioned in a book called "The Rocking Chair" in regards to Mountain Home and the building of Buck Hill Falls Inn.
