EARL, EARLE, OVERFIELD posted by James Hannum on Sunday, December 12, 1999

I am searching for the location of "Hogback Road" which was said to have been in Middle Smithfield Township, and located next to the Delaware River. William Overfield, 1729-1765, was said to have been buried in a cemetery located on that road. This is likely therefore to be near where my Earl ancestors lived, and might be a place where some Earl folk might have been buried. Does anybody know the location of this cemetery and road?

ALBERT, SLACK posted by Nancy Willoughby on Wednesday, December 29, 1999

I have in my possession a family bible showing the names of Floyd Albert and (it looks like) Frankel Slack of East Stroudsburg, PA. It has what could be valuable genealogical information (as well as cool tin types and photographs) in it. I found it many years ago in my mom's basement (it dates from the early 1900's (I don't) I would love to be able to return it to the family it belongs to. A couple other names appearing in the Bible are as follows: George Slack b 9/13/1864 d 12/22/1895 Frankel Slack Albert d 8/21/1930 John F. Albert Graydon Albert These three signed the Floyd Albert Temperence agreement! E-mail me if you have any info, or want the Bible. Thanks! Nancy (Rinker) Willoughby
