I was hoping someone could check a census for me in 1870 Monroe county, Tobyhanna Twp, page 233 for James Mckeel. I don't have access to Monroe county census and this would be of great help to me in my research. Thank you very much. Also, I am searching for another relative from the Stroudsburg area by the name of Walter Lester. If anyone is familiar with the name please let me know. Thanks again!

Philip ABBOTT was born 4/14/1781, supposedly in Tobyhanna Twp., Monroe Co., son of Philip Abbott and Anna Hewitt. His wife was Lucy Waller, and she is supposed to have died about 1820. I'd like to find if this is the same Philip Abbott who was one of the earliest citizens in Mauch Chunk, Carbon Co. & employed by the Lehigh Coal and Navigation Co. The wife of that Philip Abbott died 1819, and was the first burial in the Mauch Chunk Cemetery. The nephew of Philip of Tobyhanna did live in Carbon, he was a boss for the LC&N and lived in Summit Hill.

To all; Researching Charles James IRVINE born 12-25-1921. The SSDI lists a C. J. IRVINE 12-10-1921 (067-14-3553) as having passed away in Mt. Pocono, PA on 1-1987. The dates could be close enough to be a match. The parents of the charles I'm looking for were David L. IRVINE, born prior to 1921 in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada and Anne R. WARD, born in New Brunswick, Canada prior to 1921. They had at least two offspring. William (?)(data unknown) and Charles James Irvine, born 12/25/1921. Would like to find the parents of the Charles from Mt Pocono to see if this is the same person. Any assistance would be appreciated. Ron Gates Seattle, WA
