MCMAHEL, MCMICHAEL, MCMICKLE posted by Terry R. Graf on Tuesday, October 23, 2001

My mother was Dorothy McMahel. Her lineage goes like this Dorothy McMahel > Herbert McMahel > Harrison McMahel/McMickle > William McMahel/McMickle > John McMickle > John McMickle/McMichael. I believe that John McMichael was from Monroe County prior to 1767 and eventually left to go to Surry Co. North Carolina. Is anyone researching the McMicael/McMickle's of Monroe County, or have any knowledge of them?

LAHR, LUCAS posted by Paul Maslak on Sunday, December 16, 2001

I am looking for any information related to the 18th century Lahr family in Pennsylvania and its European origin. According to LDS records, Johannes Lahr and wife Anna Maria Christened their son Heinrich at Union Church, Hamilton Twp, Monroe, PA on 5 Sep 1769. My primary question concerns whether Johannes Lahr might be related to Paul Lahr of Northumberland Co, son of Henrich Lahr, husband to "Elisabeth" Adelheit Elisabetha Lucas?

HASSELMAN posted by Bob Dazio on Saturday, December 29, 2001

Looking for info on a W. Hasselman from Monroe county, from around 1860s to 1880s. I found a smoking pipe with a portrait on it, and the name W. Hasselman on it. It was found in a foundation located near a branch of the Lehigh river. I'm guessing the foundation is from the late 1800s because i found a lot of cut nails from that period. Any info would be appreciated.
