David Frazier McGill


The Rev. Dr. David Frazier McGill died Sunday, April 26, 1931, in his home in Avalon.  Dr. McGill was a native of Washington county and long identified with church work in this section.  Death followed a protracted illness. He was a professor of ecclesiastical history and church government in the Pittsburgh Theological seminary and clerk of the general assembly of the United Presbyterian church of North America.  He was graduated from Washington and Jefferson college and received his LLD degree from that institution and his D. D. degree from Muskingum college.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Sixth United
Presbyterian church, North Franklin and Chateau streets, Northside,
