Nicholas DeMita

Rev. Nicholas De Mita


Nicholas DeMita was born in Italy, 29 Nov 1875, the son of Michael and Philomena De Mita.  


He studied in Italy, and when he came to this country in 1904, he located at Mt. Washington Apostolate in Pittsburg.  He organized and conducted the Italian Mission there for 18 months.


In 1905 Father DeMita became the pastor of  St. Vitus's Catholic Church in New Castle.  He was a member of the Pittsburgh Diocese.
