Streamers for the 138th Flag Project

 

 

The following list reflects the complete listing of streamers that the Bedford County Historical Society had made and was suspended from the top of the staff of the 138th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Flag. Each streamer lists the individual's Name, Regiment and Company.

This flag was carried by Commander William Roy Mock, Gettysburg Camp #112, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Mock is a member of the Color Guard, "Gettysburg Blues," Sons of Veteran Reserve.

The family or individuals sponsoring the above streamers will be recognized at a special program organized by the Bedford County Historical Society. At such time, the 138th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Flag will be dedicated/ presented to the Society. A photo session is also planned for these supporters for entrance into the archives. A plague is also in the works listing all patrons of this project along with their ancestor.

The "Dedication of the 138th Regimental Flag" is scheduled to be held on Sunday, January 29, 2006. The event which is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. will be held at Heartland Hall in the Garden Room.
