Every year the ladies of Shikelimo Chapter participate in the following events:

PARADE: We participate in the Union County Salute to Veterans Parade in Lewisburg, PA. The parade steps off at 10:00 AM from behind the Lewisburg High School and marches east on Market Street.

HERITAGE DAYS: The first weekend in October, the ladies of the Shikelimo Chapter get into our Colonial Era dresses and participate in the Warrior Run/Fort Freeland Heritage Society's Heritage Days. To find out more about this event, go to

C.A.R.: We sponsor Regina Hartman Society C.A.R

MEETINGS: In order to accommodate working women, we hold our meetings generallly on the first Monday evening of each month, but we also have occasional events and dinner meetings on the weekends. We have fun and informative programs at our meetings. Please contact our Regent for a current program schedule. Prospective members are always welcome.

AWARDS CEREMONY: Each spring we recognize area students who have participated in the Good Citizens Essay Contest through their schools, 2 community members which we honor with an NSDAR Community Service Award, and one community member and also one community group or organization which we honor for their efforts in Historic Preservation. A few of our past honorees include Jane Shuman & Bob Franks of WRFFHS, Terri Stump of the New Columbia Civic Association, Pat Warren of Project Linus, Cheryl Hill of Mostly Mutts, Joe Diblin for his historical articles, Northumberland County Historical Society for their recent rebuilding of the Fort Augusta model, Robert Lee III for his outhouse genealogy and educational programs, the Gutelius House Museum, Warrior Run Fort Freeland Historical Society, and Milton's T.I.M.E. organization.
