Born 10 Feb. 1840 in Estill Ky. Died 17 Feb. 1926 Estill, Ky. Married Sally A Alcorn on 20 Feb. 1859. She was born 15 May 1836 in Ky. Died 1865 at Camp Nelson of small pox. Married Elizabeth Peters 13 July 1865. She was born 24 Dec. 1846 in Va. Died 9 Jan. 1919 in Estill, Ky. Between the two wives they had 12 children. He was the son of Thomas G Arvin and Nancy Fowler both of Estill Co. Ky. He is buried at Hunt Cemetery, Estill Co. Ky.
