My grandfather John Tarquini came to this country, with his mother and father, from Italy, in 1906 and settled in Mahanoy City. On the Ditchey side, my great-grandfather Charles Ditchey was sh riff of Schuylkill County in 1913. I am seeking any information, such as campaign information, photgraphs or campaign memorabilia such as buttons or posters, surrounding his election and tenure in office. Ideally, I would like to locate and, if possible cquire, his sheriff's badge used while he was in office. His grandparents Jacob and Wilhelmenia Ditchey settled in Middleport in the 1850's. Jacob was killed in a mineing accident around 1855 and was buried in or near Middleport. Wilhelmenia died in 1905 and is also reported to be buried in Middleport. I have been unsuccessful in locating either of there graves and would appreciate any assistance you can offer. Wilhelmenia's death record references the Middleport cemetery, however the only cemetery in Mi dleport is on old Rt. 209, and I found no grave markers for them there. Kenneth J.
