The asbestos tile in the building was removed and the reomval paid for. The architect will in Pottsville April 20 through 22 and he will be working in the building. The City of Pottsville will be redoing the sidewalks in front of the Old Female Grammer School this summer and the inside work must be coordinated with this Urban Renewal Project. The "Beers Altas" has finally been sent out. The Board sincerely apologizes for the delay which was beyond its control. Overall as of April 10th, 715 copies had been sold and appoximately 55 remain to be purchased. Friday June 18th through Sunday June 20th will be "Molly Maguire" Weekend in Schuylkill County. On Saturday June 19th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm a well-respected panel will convene in the Schuylkill County Courthouse and discuss the role of the Molly Maguires. Light refreshments will be served and the cost is 20 per person. The proceeds will be used for the HSSC Building campaign. Panelists will be announced by early May. On Friday June 19th Mark Major will lead a "walking tour of Shenandoah" (5:30 pm to 6:30 pm) will emphasis on the Molly activity in Shenandoah. At 8:30 pm at the Schuylkill County for the Arts, a special "Molly" presentation will occur with live actors under the direction of Gina Miller. Over the weekend there will be musical entertainment in various locations. The lecture was well-recieved. The Molly Maguire Road Ramble is being rescheduled for September 18th. It was originally planned to coincide with the Molly Maguire Weekend. Since it will be in September it will be broader in scope and be a "Historic Coal Region Road Ramble Through Molly Maguire County." The cost will be $100 per person and cover a dinner and prizes. Remember that your continuing financial support is very much appreciated. Also all items of local historical interest are wanted. A person has offered the HSSC a coal car from the Old Necho Allen Tap Room! Things like this will make the new headquarters something special!!
