Comments: Am seeking information regarding Henry and Sarah OWENS of Minersville circa 1870. I believe Sarah was a member of the LLOYD family of Pottsville. Henry OWENS was a coal miner, and served in Co. I , 5th Pa . Volunteers. Sarah died on July 31,1907 and was buried by J,M. Weiser & Son. I found reference to one son, William Jasper OWENS, born May 3, 1976 , baptised Aug. 9, 1878 at the Methodist Episcopal Church at Ashland. They may have also had a son named James born in 1882 and died in 1893. I am searching for any references to further children, especially Walter OWENS, my grandfather. It is the Names of persons who were killed and those who died of injuries in and about the colleries in the mining district of Schuylkill. This report contains the names of the person killed the number of widows and orphans during the year ending Dec 31, 1874. It is the ANNUAL REPORT OF THE INSPECTORS OF MINES. My Grandmother, Elizabeth Zeimet Montanari is still alive but memory is not absolute. Eliz. Casey married Anthony Zeimet -the next door neighbor- and they lived at 1208 Pine St.? in Ashland. I think that her mother's maiden name was Curley. Elizabeth Casey was born in Ashland, not sure when her family came from Ireland. Any information on Casey, Curley or Zeimet is appreciated. Anthony Zeimet was a coal miner. Elizabeth was 38yrs. old when she died. I'm just starting and don't know when I'll get to Pa. to look up church records. Comments: Looking for info of my great, great, great grandfather Francis Hillanbrand or may have been spelled Franz Hildebrand. Particuarly I am looking for info of his Civil War unit. I have some info that he may have been in the 156th Penna. Inf. Co. C??? Born in Hessen-Darmstadt Germany he moved to Pottsville and became an Engineer at the Bull's Head colliery for 5 years, then to the Potts colliery at Wolf Creek where he worked there for 16 years or untill 1870. Then he moved to Ashland and worked at the Tunnel colliery for 2 years, coming to Mahoney Plane in 1872, and working as an engineer there up to 1893, untill a couple of months prior to his death on Oct 14, 1893. My great, great uncle Charles Hillanbrand owned the National House, American House, the Westminster Hotel, and then built and opened the Hotel Hillanbrand in Frackville. Are any of these places still around??? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Comments: Searching for relatives and ancestors of William Lishman and Elizabeth Prudhoe Lishman. Both born in England and buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetary in Tamaqua, PA. He died 10 Nov 1926. She died 21 Mar 1935. I can not read the names of his parents on the death cert. Her parents were Thomas Prudhoe and Bessie Hope. William and Elizabeth had 7 children: Matilda, Hannah, Alice, Margaret, Thomas, William and John. Hannah married William Meisner. Alice died young. Margaret married John/George Reinbolt. Thomas married Helen ?. William married Margaret or/and Isabel ?. John married Gertrude ?. Believe John to be buried in the Odd Fellows Cemetary as well. Matilda married Lorenzo John MARTIN, my grandparents. Matilda remarried after Lorenzo death to William Schaffer. If this family sounds familiar would love too share info!
