Robert Davidson to John Barclay

TO ALL PEOPLE to Whom these Presents may come Robert Davidson of the Borough of Lancaster and Margaret his wife send Greeting

WHEREAS by an Order of Orphans Court the Plantation and Tract of Land situate in Little Britain Township Lancaster County late the Property of William Barclay deced. who died Intestate seized and possessed of the Same Containing about Six Hundred and Sixty six Acres be the same more or less leaving a Widow & Several Children one of whom is the above named Margaret was Appraised to John Barclay Eldest Son of the said deced at and for the Sum of Seven Hundred Pounds Lawfull Money of Pennsylvania

KNOW YE that the said Robert Davidson and Margaret his wife for and in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty one Pounds Seventeen Shillings & one half penny (being the Share and part of her the said Margaret in the Plantation aforesaid) in hand paid by the said John Barclay at and before the Sealing and Delivery hereof have and each of them do remise release discharge grant bargain and Sell all their Estate Right Title Interest Benefit and Demand whatsoever which they the said Robert Davison or Margaret his wife may have or Claim of in or to the said Premises or any Part thereof Saving and excepting their distribute Share of the Estate at the death of the Widow and also release all Actions Suits & Demands which said Robert Davidson & Margaret his wife their Executors & Assigns may have concerning the same WITNESS our Hands and Seals 14 Decemr. 1772.

LANCASTER County ss: THE 25TH Day of November A. D. 1773, Before me the Subscriber one of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the said County came Robert Davison & Margaret his wife in the Within Written Instrument Mentioned and Acknowledged the Same to be their Act and Deed and desired that as such the same might be Recorded The said Margaret thereunto freely Consenting She being of full Age and duly Examined and the contents thereof First made known to her Witness my Hand and Seal.
