Deed from John A. Boyd to William Bair

This indenture made this first day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & sixty three Between John A. Boyd of the Township of Drumore in the County of Lancaster & State of Pennsylvania farmer of the first part And William Bair Stone mason of the same place of the second part Witnesseth that the said John A. Boyd for in consideration of the sum acknowledged hath granted bargained sold & by these present doth grant bargain & sell unto the said William Bair & to his heirs A certain lot or parcel of land situated in said township & County Bounded as follows Beginning at a Post in the line of lands of the said John A. Boyd & Samuel M. Long thence by the bounds of the said John A. Boyd South eighty eight degrees one half west eight perches to a stone in the public road thence down said road south eleven degrees one half west fifteen perches two tenths to a stone thence south sixty eight degrees one half west thirty five perches sixteenth to a stone in the line of lands of Samuel Seiple thence by the same south forty four degrees east forty five perches one thenth to a stone a corner of lands of the said William Bair thence by the same south eighty five degrees east thirteen perches two tenths to a stone in the line of lands of the said Samuel M. Long thence by the same north one degree west sixty perches three tenths to the beginning containing eight acres eighty eight perches be the same more of less the same being a part of a larger lot or parcel of land which the said John A Boyd purchased September the sixth one thousand eight hundred sixty two as the estate of Levi Harris deceased & conferred to him & his heirs & assigns by the Orphans Court held for said County & by his deeds from George Smith Administrator of said deceased filed March the 28th 1863 as will fully appear whereby he became ______. Together with all & singular(?) the premises above described with all the appartenances whatsoever or thereto belonging or in anyway appertaining unto the said William Bair his heirs & assigns forever And the said John A. Boyd for himself & his heirs the said described lot or parcel of land of eight acres & eighty eight perches be the same more or less with the appartenances thereof against him & his heirs & against all & every other person or persons whatsoever unto the said William Bair his heirs & assigns shall & will warrant & forever defend (desend?) by these present

Before me the subscriber and Justice of the Peace in & for said County presently appeared the above named John A Boyd and acknowledged the above Indenture or Instrument of writing to be his act & deed & desired that the same be recorded as such according to law.
