Henry Small and Martha his wife and Hugh Barclay To John Barcley

THIS INDENTURE made the Twenty Eighth day of March in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy one BETWEEN Henry Small of the Borough of Lancaster Taylor & Martha his wife & Hugh Barclay of the County of Lancaster Shoemaker of the One Part & John Barclay of the Same Place Taylor of the other Part

WITNESSETH that they said Henry Small and Martha his wife & Hugh Barclay for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred Pounds Lawfull Money of Pennsylvania to them in hand paid by the said John Barclay at & before the Sealing & delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged they the said Henry Small and Martha his wife and Hugh Barclay have each every and either of them hath granted bargained sold Aliened Enfeoffed released and Confirmed and by these Presents do each every & either of them doth grant bargain sell Allien enfeoff release and Confirm unto the said John Barclay his heirs and Assigns

All their Equal two undivided Eighth parts of and in a Certain Tract or parcel of Land Situate lying & being on the Western Branches of Octarara Creek in the Township of Little Britain in the said County of Lancaster Containing Six hundred and Sixty Nine Acres & the usual allowance

TOGETHER also with all and Singular the Houses Barns Stables Gardens Orchards Ways Woods Waters Waters Water Courses Rights Liberties Priviledges Hereditaments & Appurtenances whatsoever to the Same Two Equal & undivided Eighth Parts belonging or in any wise Appertaining and the Reversion & Reversions Remainder & Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and all the Estate & Estates Right Title & Interest of in & to the Same

TOGETHER with the Use Possession Profit Property Claim and Demand whatsoever of them

HAVE AND TO HOLD the said hereby two equal and undivided Eighth Parts granted or Meant Mentioned or Intended so to be with the Appurtenances unto the said John Barclay his heirs & Assigns to the only proper use benefit and Behoof of him the said John Barclay his heirs and Assigns forever Subject to the Purchase Money and Quit Rent due and to Accrue to the Lord of the Fee thereof

IN WITNESS WHEREOF THE SAID PARTIES TO THESE Present Have hereunto Interchangeably set their Hands and Seals the day and Year first within Written.

THE Twenty eighth day of March 1771 Before me Robert Boyd Esquire One of his Majesties Justices of the County Court of Common Pleas of and for the County of Lancaster came the within Named Henry Small and Martha his wife and Hugh Barclay & brought the Above and Within Written Indenture which they Acknowledged to be their Act & Deed & desired the same may be recorded as Such the said Martha thereunto Voluntarily of and of her own free Will & Accord did Seal and as her Act and Deed did deliver the same without any concern or Compulsion of her said Husband
