John Barclay to Hugh Barclay & Al.

TO ALL PEOPLE to whom these Presents shall Come John Barclay of Little Britain Township in the County of Lancaster Farmer Sendeth Greeting

WHEREAS William Barclay deced. Father of the said John Barclay died Seized & Possessed of a Certain Plantation and Tract of Land situate as aforesaid Containing about Six Hundred and Sixty Six Acres & Allowance be the same more or less leaving a Widow & Several Children

AND WHEREAS by an Order of Orphans Court held at Lancaster for the County of Lancaster the said Tract of Land was Appraised to the said John Barclay Eldest Son of the said intestate at and for the Sum of Seven Hundred Pounds lawfull Money of Pennsylvania which Appraisement being Approved of & the said John Barclay desirous to hold the Same Premises on the Fourteenth Instant the Court Adjudged that the said John Barclay hold the Same in Fee Subject to the Payment of the Widows Thirds and the Children their Several and Sespective Shares According to the Distribution made by the Court within Twelve Months

KNOW YE that I the said John Barclay in consideration of Five Shillings lawfull Money of Pennsylvania to me in hand Paid by Hugh Barclay Joseph Miller John Allison & Robert Campbell as also in Consideration of the Performance of the Trusts in them herein and hereby reposed put and placed have granted bargained Sold Alliened Enfeoffed released and Confirmed & by these Presents do grant bargain sell Alien enfeoff release & Confirm unto them the said Hugh Barclay Joseph Miller John Allison and Robert Campbell and the Survivor of them & the Heirs and Assigns of such Survivor All that the Above Mentioned Tract of Land Situate as Aforesaid Containing about Six Hundred and Sixty Six Acres be the same more or Less TOGETHER with all & Singular the Houses Ways Waters and Appurtenances to the Same Tract of Land belonging or in any wise Appertaining and and the Reversions & Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD to the said Hugh Barclay Joseph Miller John Allison ad

Robert Campbell and the Survivors & Survivor of them and the heirs and Assigns of such Survivor and Survivor forever to the Uses Intents Trusts & Purposes hereinafter Mentioned That is to Say First in Trust to Sell dispose and Convey the same Tract of Land in Fee for the best Price that can be had and then in Trust to discharge and pay the Several and respective Shares of the Widow & children of the said William Barclay deced. If any remains unpaid According to the Settlement & Order of Orphans Court made of upon and concerning the same and after the Same shall be discharged then to pay and discharge the Just Debts to the Several and Respective Creditors of me the said John Barclay in Case it shall be Sufficient for the Same But if not then in Proportion to & Amongst them According to their Several and respective Debts and on this further Trust & Confidence that then after Deducting all Costs Charges and Expenses of the said Trustees to Apply and Pay the Overplus or Remainder to the Said John Barclay his heirs or Assigns and to no other uses Intents Trusts or Purposes whatsoever

County & brought ye within Instrument of writing and Acknowledged ye same to be his Act and Deed and desires that ye same may be Recorded as such
