In the name of God Amen this Eighteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty three. I William McPherson of the Township of Drumore in the County of Lancaster and the State of Pennsylvania being Sick and weak of Body but of sound mind and memory thanks be given unto God therefore calling to mind the mortality of my Body And that it is appointed unto all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in Manner and form following that is to say Imprimus I order that all my just debts and funeral Charges be decently discharged.

Item I give and Bequeath unto my beloved wife Jane the one third part of the yearly profits of the Plantation or tract of Land I am now possessed of during her natural Life and no longer with one feather Bed and Bedclothes

Item I give and Bequeath unto my son James McPherson all the Remainder of the Land or Plantation that I am now Possessed of with all the appurtenances that unto belonging to him the said James McPherson his heirs and assigns forever

Item I give and Bequeath unto my daughter Martha Ankrim one cow

Item I give and Bequeath unto my grandson James Ankrim five Pounds

Item I give and Bequeath unto my aforesaid son James McPherson all the Remainder of my personal Estate goods and Chattels And I do nominate and appoint my son James McPherson and my trusty friend William Bigham to be whole and sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby utterly disallow Revoke and disanull all former Wills or Testaments by me in any wise made or done before this time named Ratifying and Confirming this and no other to be my last Will and testament in testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written

Lancaster County On the third day of December Anno Domini 1783 before me the subscriber personally Appeared Patrick Ewing and William Ritchey the two Subscribers Witnesses to the within Will and being duly sworn according to law by uplifted hand did Severally declare and Say that they were personally present and Saw and heard William McPherson the Testator in the within Will mentioned Sign Seal publish pronounce and declare the within writing as and for his last Will and testament and that at the doing thereof he was of sound and well disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of their Knowledge Observation and Belief

Be it remembered that on the third day of December Anno Domini 1783 the last Will and testament of William McPherson late of Drumore Township in the County of Lancaster deceased was proved in due form of Law and Letters Testamentary thereon were granted to James McPherson one of the Executors therein named (William Bigham the other Executor therein named having under his hand and seal Renounced his Rights of Administration on the Estate of the said decedent) he being first duly Qualified According to Law by uplifted hand well and truly to Administer the Estate of the said deceased and Especially to Exhibit a true and perfect Inventory thereof into the Registers Office at Lancaster on or before the third day of January next and to Render a true and Just Account of his Administration on the said Estate within one year or when thereunto Lawfully Required given under the Seal of the said Office of me.
