Note: Warburton Hill Cemetery is located on a gravel road # 4013, SR (State Route) 130. The location is named for the Warburton family that originally lived here. There is one stone our transcriber was not sure about because there were two stones for the same person, but different dates for each stone. That individual is Sadie Sherman Grange.

Beginning in March 2005, June Howard offered to post pictures of selected tombstones and markers from this cemetery. We will link these pictures as they become available and are appreciative of June's efforts in this regard. She is a descendant of the Rowe, Molyneux and Tomlinson families and is related by marriage to the Vough family. You can learn more about these families at The Grain of Salt in Streby...Early Settlers of Lycoming County. To quote June:

"I have a big interest in Vough genealogy and my dad's first cousin is still living there in Forks township: Helen Grace Vough Treaster. Here are pictures of the markers and stones of some of my ancestors in Warburton Hill. For example, Richard and Ann Rowe was my great-great grandparents. Ezra Rowe was my great grandfather and his wife, Margaret Ann (Molyneux) Rowe was my great grandmother. On another branch, Mary Tomlinson was my great-great-great grandmother, and the mother of my great-great-grandmother Esther Tomlinson Molyneux, wife of James Molyneux. They in turn were the parents of my great-grandmother Margaret Ann (Molyneux) Rowe. My maiden name was Rowe."

In November 2009, the Sullivan County Historical Society and Museum (SCHS&M) provided an update that includes previously unlisted interments, as well as addtional information on several of the interments that we did have. This information was extracted from current and old records in the possesssion of that organization. We have color coded those entries in crimson, and express our sincere appreciaton for this information to our colleagues at SCHS&M.
