· Levi FULMER to Libbie BAHR, both of Cherry, on 13th April 1882 at the Lutheran Parsonage by R. S. WAGNER
· Frank MC HENRY has erected a blacksmith shop near his father's residence in Cherry.
· Mrs. Benjamin TRIPP, of Fox Twp., died on Friday, April 21st.
· Daniel FLICK, an old resident of Hughesville, died on April 22nd, aged 62 years. He was the father in law of Rev. S. P. REMER, formerly of this place.
· William F. BENJAMIN, died at the residence of his mother in this place on Sunday evening, aged about 24 years. The funeral was conducted on Wednesday by Rev. G. L. BURSON, interment in the Bahr Cemetery.
· Augustus SICK, of Forks Twp, died on Saturday last after several months illness. He was about 50 years of age and leaves a family.
· Mrs. Ellen MURPHY, of Cherry, died at the residence of her son, Patrick, on Tuesday monring, aged 80 years. She had been a resident of this vicinity for the past forty years.
· J. M. ZANER of Cherry was married on Wednesday last to Miss Mary E. SHAFFER, of Georgetown, Northumberland Co.
· Mrs. EBERLIN, widow, of Wilmot, died on Monday. Funeral on Wednesday at the Lutheran Church in Wilmot.

· D. W. BROWN, of Wyalusing, has six sons, four of whom are practicing physicians, a fifth a druggist and the half-dozenth a druggist's clerk.
· David RAHM, of Towanda, died on Monday. He had been an employee of the North Branch Canal Company and the PA and NY RR Co., for the past thirty years.
· C. W. ENGLEMAN, of Bella Sylva, has repaired, repainted and refurnished his residence and now has one of the most pleasant residences in that vicinity. Henry HUFFMASTER was superintendent of the work.
· Peter BACHMAN and wife, of Bair Creek on Tuesday afternoon of last week; while burning a new ground the clothes of Mrs. BACHMAN caught fire and before her husband could reach her and render assistance she was so badly burned that she died Tuesday last. Her suffering was terrible. ("Bloomsburg Columbian")
· Miss Mary LUSCH is teaching the Black Creek School in Forks Twp.
· Mr. P. E. ALDEN, of Monroeton has taken the position of mining engineer at Bernice.
· Mr. and Mrs. R. VIDEAN, have taken up their summer residence at Forksville, with their daughter, Mrs. J. W. ROGERS.
· Thomas SCHELL, of Berniece to Ellen WEST, of Cherry, on May 2nd at the Lutheran Parsonage, Dushore, by Rev. R. S. WAGNER.
· Laporte - Mrs. WALTERS, quite an aged lady, left Monday for Washington Territory, to visit her daughter, Mrs. John REYNOLDS.
· Davidson - Mr. and Mrs. F. R. KEELER are rejoicing over the arrival of a daughter.
17 May 1882
· Mrs. Sarah GROSS, of Bloomsburg, was recently convicted of an attempt to produce an abortion on the person of Mrs. Chas. KRUG, which resulted in the death of the latter. She was sentenced to pay a fine of $500 and the costs of prosecution and to undergo an imprisonment of four years in the Eastern Penitentiary.
· Robert MC GEE, of Bernice, about 25 years of age, attempting to jump on a moving train, at Birch Creek, near Bernice, last Friday evening and missed his footing fell and had his ankle crushed and broken by the cars in some way, although the wheel did not pass over him. At this writing, he is doing as well as possible under the circumstances, although fears are entertained that amputation of the foot may be necessary.
· Clarence D. CROLL and family, of Laporte, will remove to Athens within a short time.
· Lily G. HULINGER, aged 14 years, whose father resides at Harveyville, Luzerne Co. is missing. She left Philadelphia for home on Friday and though her
baggage was found at Wilkes-Barre on the train on which she should have been a passenger, no information concerning her whereabouts could be obtained.
25 May 1882
· Jerome LAIRD, of Davidson, died on Monday.
· Mr. and Mrs. John E. FINAN have an addition to their family. It is a daughter.
· Patrick BRADLEY, a resident of Davidson Twp., died on the 19th inst., aged 68 years. His remains were brought to this place for burial.
· F. B. PAINTER, formerly associate editor of the "Muncy Luminary", has gone to Dakota, with the intention of remaining there if the country suits him.
· Mrs. Elmer WEAVER, of Cherry, died very suddenly on Tuesday. She was about 30 years of age. Funeral at Thrasher's Church on Thursday at 10 o'clock A.M.
· George A. SKINNER and family, of Davidson, will remove to Iowa within a short time.
· Dr. George F. HORTON and wife, of Terrytown, Bradford County, will celebrate their golden wedding next month.
1 June 1882
· Nettie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Taper HUNSINGER of Colley, died on May 16th, aged 12 years.
· Mrs. DRISCOLL, an aged lady residing in Forks Twp., died on Monday, May 22nd, she was buried at this place on Wednesday.
· Charles KINSLEY, of Wilmot, formerly of this place, is suffering from a severe attack of paralysis. He is now at the residence of his father in Cherry.
· J. H. CRONIN, Esq., was admitted to the bar of Sullivan Co. on Friday last.
· James FARRELL, of Cherry, left Dushore on Tuesday for Colorado, where he intends to locate.
· Asa D. MC HENRY who studied telegraphy under Mr. BLAIR, has secured a position on the LVRR. He is now stationed at Towanda.
· James CONNOR, of Bernice and Miss Ella SCANLIN, of Barclay, were married on Tuesday of last week.
· REMSNYDER, who was convicted of highway robbery last week, was sentenced to pay $300, the costs of prosecution and to undergo an imprisonment of three years in the Eastern Penitentiary. Sheriff DEEGAN left on Monday with REMSNYDER for the penitentiary.
