Thomas Johnston (1819-1900)
Thomas Johnston was born March 28, 1819 in Scotland. He married first to Jennie ________. After she died, he then married Caroline Henrietta Smith on June 3, 1838. His third wife was Janette McRae Robb. Janette had a daughter, Agnes McRae Robb, who married Alexander Johnston, the eldest son of Thomas Johnston. On May 21, 1900, Thomas Johnston died in Bernice, Sullivan County, PA and is buried there in the Presbyterian Cemetery on Route 487.

Janette McRae Turnbull Robb Johnston (1832-1893)
She was born April 24, 1832 in Scotland and married Thomas Johnston in 1855. She died March 5, 1893 in Bernice, PA and is buried in the Presbyterian Cemetery there. She was the mother by a previous marriage of Agnes McRae Robb who subsequently married Alexander Johnston, her stepson by Thomas Johnston, on July 2, 1885.

Alexander Johnston (1861-1943)
He was born June 29, 1861 in Dunfermline, Scotland, the son of Thomas and Caroline Henrietta Smith Johnston. He came to the United States in 1884. Alexander married Agnes McRae Robb in Moingona, Iowa on July 2, 1885. He died on May 17, 1943 in Erie, PA, and is buried in the Reynoldsville Cemetery in Reynoldsville, Jefferson County, PA. Alexander and Agnes had five children:

Agnes McRae Robb Johnston(1857-1917)
She was born September 14, 1857 in Glasgow, Scotland, daughter of George and Janette McRae Turnbull Robb. Agnes came to the United States in 1884. She married Alexander Johnston in Moingona, Iowa on July 2, 1885. She died January 27, 1917 in Reynoldsville, Jefferson County, PA and is buried in the Reynoldsville Cemetery there.
