As of May 2000 the company that purchased this product (Broderbund)
has dropped new development on UFT because of marketing issues. The only
product of comparable quality and comparable "seriousness" is The Master
Genealogist and it is recommended by all of the Rootsweb Users Groups.
Data is convertible. UFT can still be used but future development will
not happen. Any other products would be a major step backward and would
cause loss of the extensive data that makes UFT and TGM the only software
products for serious genelaogy projects. I will be investigating the possibility
of converting my own 75,000 individual Sullivan-Rutland Genealopgy Project
database. The Master Genealogist
