My GGGGrandfather was Robert Caldwell, born 1750, and moved to
Hopewell Twp, Washington County, in 1785 from the Chanceford area of York Twp.
He had 2 sons and 4 daughters. His son David (GGGrandfather) married Nancy Curry
and they lived in Mt. Pleasant Twp (Hickory) in Washington County. They had two
(maybe 3) daughters and one son – William who was my GGrandfather married Jane
B. Moore (Lyle line). They had 12 children one of which was my Grandfather James
Miller Caldwell. Robert and the Curries are mentioned in the Crumrine History.

Prospect Cemetery Database, Hickory PA.
