Charlotte,

Philadelphia to near Fort Pitt to Cincinnati,
OH

I'm
researching the WILLIAMSON family, and found this in:
"The Human Touch in Business- A Biography of Charles R. Hook"
by author John Tebbel..page 4:
"Charlotte's grandparents had migrated from their farm near
Philadelphia to live precariously on the frontier, near Fort Pitt.
Their daughter, Elizabeth, survived the perils of the wilderness and
at seventeen married John Williamson. Their honeymoon was a dangerous
journey down the Ohio River in a flatboat."
Charlotte was the daughter of John Williamson (born about 1777 PA and
died 1831 Cincinnati-Cabinetmaker) and Elizabeth C. MNU Williamson
(born 1786 PA, died Dec. 20, 1864 Cincinnati, OH buried Spring Grove
Cemetery). They were in Cincinnati prior to 1807, as he had placed
business ads in Cincinnati newspapers that year. The above book states
they arrived in the spring of 1802. Charles R. Hook was Charlotte's
grandson and founder of Junior Achievement International and Armco
Steel in Butler Co, Ohio.
Thanks so much for the work you do!
