Washington Cemetery, Soldiers Sec. "L"

Washington Co., PA c1989

Contributed by Clair J. "Bill" Thompson, Sr.

Most of Section "L" c1989

Posted in memory of my great-great grandfather [Jonathan (John) Allen (Civil War)] and my grand-uncle [George Lawrence Thompson (WW I)] and my many other relatives buried there. And to ALL of the brave persons who have served their flag from my home county.

This section affords one of the most beautiful views of Washington, Pennsylvania. It is a sloping hill which is very moving to see with all the small American flags waving at each headstone.

Burial sites are provided at no cost to honorably discharged veterans of Washington County, but the standard interment fee is charged.
