Fairmount Cemetery, East Finley

PLEASE NOTE: I have received additional information and corrections for some of these burials.  If you use this list, you should also take a moment to visit the additional information page for Fairmont Cemetery.

*Because of corrections submitted/additional information, please be aware that the names given as "parents" may in fact be some other relative to the deceased.  The names in that column might have been the nearest relative or person who paid for the burial, or the name/s of the person/s who owned the cemetery lot.

If there are **** in the "Note" column, the Church Board was not positively sure the person was or was not buried in the cemetery. The name with **** is included in the list because, to the best knowledge of the Church Board, they believe the person WAS buried with other relatives. There are many, many old cemeteries where written records were not kept, were incomplete, or records were lost.  So it is NOT unusual to find a Church or other organization in charge of a cemetery who makes an attempt to compile the *most complete* list of burials based on written records PLUS personal knowledge of a caretaker or older church member.  Researchers should use this list as a basis to search for Obituaries, Wills, Administrative Accounts, or other written records to verify the person was buried in the cemetery.

If you find written proof your family member was NOT buried in this cemetery, or another difference in what is given here, feel free to send me a scan or typed copy (word for word) of your record, along with source information. I will include the additional information on the 2nd page for the cemetery list.
