Monongahela, PA.
Location: Near Munntown PA, Nottingham Twp., Washington Co., PA, above Thomas, PA Munntown PA sits on a tract of land patented to John Munn, Sr. on Oct. 29, 1790. It was sold May 4, 1793 to David Munn. The Presbyterian Church of Fairview was organized by James McClain, Robert McPherson, J. Hazlett, and Rev. C. C. Braddock. Source for Munntown and the Presbyterian Church: History of Washington Co., PA by Boyd Crumrine, 1882, p. 885. |
Note: The best way to copy a cemetery is to document
each stone--and names--
as they appear in the cemetery, in the order they appear,
with NO attempt to put them into an "order.".
Therefore, none of these names are in alphabetical order.
26 of 317 Burial Names * Note: This record contains spellings of CASEBAR and CAESBAR. I
don't know if there are misspellings by a transcriber, typist, or if the variant
spelling appeared on the tombstone. I believe, from historical reading
I've done, the spelling used in the 1800s was CAESBAR. This is the Washington County PAGenWeb Genealogy Project
