Location: In Carroll Twp. 1/4 mile south of Hazelkirk on Shannon Rd. The cemetery is on a hilltop to the east of the road.

Directions:  From Linda Vourlogianes :  The Hazelkirk (Van Voorhis) Cemetery is located in Hazelkirk, Carroll Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, 1/4 mile south on Shannon Road. The cemetery is on a hill to the east of this road. It is high on a hilltop overlooking Hazelkirk. Coming from Monongahela, take LR route 62175 west, then LR 62016 (bears to the right former LR 62175). This will lead you into the village of Hazelkirk. Cemetery may be seen from the eastern approach to the village - south side of the road.

If you continue on past on Rte. 88 where I told you in how to reach the Monongahela Cemetery, you will cross the creek and the RR and come to the first stop light into town. Turn left there and continue on that road until you come to Hazelkirk Rd. on your right, if you look to your left, there is the knoll where the Van Voorhis Cemetery sits on top of.  Continue on by Hazelkirk Rd. and you will soon see road to the left called Shannon Road, turn left there, and cross the RR tracks, and go just a short ways, looking to your left, there is a old road way that you have to walk up. Good luck trying to find a place to park though there is one a little ways up to the right. Will have to go back when I have time to get up the hill sometime and take some pics up there. If you look at the pics closely you will see the fencing that is visible from the road way below. nacs-cahs
