Church records transcribed by Mrs. Martha
Lacock Nicholl, deceased, late of Washington, PA
Mrs. Nicholl presented the church with two notebooks she had prepared on the
church's history.
One notebook is held by the church in Washington PA;
the second notebook is held by the Disciple of Christ Historical Society in
Nashville, TN.

Brother Joshua COOPER and Sister Margaret
COOPER having united with the Methodist church and being under citation for
disorderly conduct, viz: danceing (sic).
The following persons having been engaged in
danceing (sic) were either visited by the officers or cited to meet with them
viz:

These all rendered the necessary confefsions
(sic) and promises for the future with the exception of Isabella PLYMIRE
who was excluded. Mary Jane PLYMIRE and Charlotte HARRIS who had again
been cited for danceing (sic) were cited to meet with the officers but
neglecting the citation were excluded from the privileges of the church.
Charles HELM and wife received by letter.
Samuel HUGHES granted a letter of recommendation to unite with
the church at Pleasant Valley.
Br. Barnabas HUGHES and Sister Margaret ROFS (sic=ROSS) were
also granted letters of recommendation to unite with the Pleasant Valley
congregation.
Br. William BEBOUT having absented himself from the regular
meetings of the church for some considerable time was admonished and cited to
meet with the officers but neglecting the citation he was on motion withdrawn
from excluded from for neglect of Christian duty.
Sisters Charlotte HARRIS and Mary Jane PLYMIRE by confefsion
(sic) were again restored to the privileges of the church.
Jonathan M. STREATOR received by letter.
THomas TARR and wife received by letter.

Dec. 11th
Br. Andrew BURNS commenced a meeting of days during which the
following persons were added to the church viz. Sisters REYNOLDS and
CAMBELL (sic), Jasher BEAZEL, Harriet MARTIN, Sarah PLYMIRE who were immersed
and Sister Charlotte HARRIS and Isabella PLYMIRE were restored.
The following persons were immersed by Br. T.C. McKEEVER were
received into the church viz.

At the same time John ADAMS, Harrison PRALL and Elizabeth CLARK
who had been excluded for some time were restored.
Feb. 27, 1861
Sister Susannah MONINGER who had been immersed by Br. McKEEVES
(sic) was received into the church.
Jan. 1862
Brother Philip GALLY and wife granted letter of recommendation
to unite with the congregation at Pleasant Valley.
George GARDNER immersed by Br. STREATOR was received into the
church.
Charles VANKIRK who formerly belonged to the Baptists (was)
received into the church.
The following persons immersed by Br. McKEEVER during his
ministry were received into the church viz.
