Lacock Nicholl, deceased, late of Washington, PA
Mrs. Nicholl presented the church with two notebooks she had prepared on the
church's history.
One notebook is held by the church in Washington PA;
the second notebook is held by the Disciple of Christ Historical Society in
Nashville, TN.

Sister Cecelia (sic) IMBRIE received on letter of communication
from the church at New Castle PA also Melinda COOK who had formerly been a
member of the church took membership at the same time as her husband Mr. COOK
signified his desire of membership by making good confefsion. (sic)
At a meeting held by Br. CRANE during the month of Jan. 1869 the
following persons were immersed and took membership vix. (these were in
two columns in the original; typed as-is)

John LACOCK reinstated to membership in the church.

Br. T. A. CRENSHAW commenced his labors as pastor of the church
in Washington. Br. CRENSHAW and wife and daughter were received
as a members on letters of commendation.

Nov. 1870
Sister HOWEL received by letter.
(space added) Br. MARSHALL immersed by Br. POWER (and was)
received into the church.
Departed this life Nov. 19th 1870 Elder. Samuel NICOL in the
87th year of his life.

Departed this life Br. Smith E. McELROY Jan. 1st 1871 aged 38
years.

Br. T. A. CRENSHAW accepted a call of the church as pastor for
one year commencing Dec. 1st 1869 for which he is to receive $1200 and have

into the church by letters.
Mattie Bell MONINGER immersed by Br. CRENSHAW (and) received
into the church.
Frank Griffith (e.g. Wolf) immersed by Br. CRENSHAW (and)
received as a member.
Mary Jane LACOCK immersed at Pleasant Valley admitted into the
church.
