Pvt. Jack SHIPLEY of Cherry Point, N. C. was home on a pass recently.

Mrs. Fred FRAZIER and Andrew CAIRNS are serving on the jury this week at Washington.

Miss Jean TUCKER and Andrew TOTH of Monongahela visited Mr. and Mrs. Lewis WALTERS, Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. S. D. STANTON visited friends in Belle Vernon, Friday.

Miss Martha WERTON of Pittsburgh [Pa] visited her mother, Mrs. Mary WERTON, Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank THOMPSON of Dormont visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Forrest MORELAND and E. J. LATTA.

Fred Davison is seriously ill in the Veterans Hospital at Aspinwall.

Mrs. Elsie REDMER has returned to her home after visiting in Harrisburg and Washington, D. C.

Mrs. Donna ERMLICH is visiting in Youngstown this week.

Representing California High at a debate held in McKeesport Saturday, Feb. 1 were the following local students, Ruth LYTLE, Mary LaVern GUSWILER, Cosmo INSERRA and Ralph WILSON.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred ZEFFIRO of Donora announce the marriage of their daughter Jane [ZEFFIRO] to Thomas O. HEUK, son of Mrs. Grace HAUK, also of Donora. Mrs. [Alfred] ZEFFIRO is the former Elsie McCLEARY of Roscoe.

Miss Mary CHESTER and nephew Thomas FIEDLER attended the performance of "The Voice of the Turtle" at the Nixon Monday night.

Nola DUVALL of Elco [Pa] left for Detroit where she will be employed.
