Pvt. Howard William PIERCE, brothers Earnest PIERCE, Everett PIERCE, and David PIERCE.

PVT. HOWARD PIERCE

Pvt. Howard William PIERCE, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard PIERCE, was born in Bentleyville [Pa], August 18, 1917 and attended the Dunlevy [Pa] and Stockdale [Pa] schools.

He enlisted September 1, 1939 and was assigned to the Engineers.  He returned to the country in July, 1944 after serving in the South Pacific.

Pvt. PIERCE, who is a former employee of the Corning Glass Works, has three brothers in service, Earnest [PIERCE], who has been hospitalized at a South Pacific base, Everett [PIERCE], in Belgium, and David [PIERCE], last heard from inside Germany.

Home After 56 Months on Foreign Soil

Pvt. Howard W. PIERCE, of Long Branch [Pa], of the Engineer Corps, returned from the Pacific theatre of operations under the Army rotation plan.

He arrived at Fort Meade, Md., recently and spent some time there before returning here.  This information was furnished by the Third Service Command of the Army Public Relations Section, Philadelphia.

So the names get indexed properly, the brothers of Pvt. Howard William PIERCE were Earnest PIERCE, Everett PIERCE, and David PIERCE.
