PATTERSON

Mary Alyce Patterson, 59, of West Middletown, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1959 at 1:30 a.m. in Washington Hospital. 

Born July 22, 1900 in West Middletown, a daughter of John H. and Mary Dunlap Kelly, she resided in that community throughout her life. 

She was a member of Israel AME Church. She married Everett Patterson Aug. 31, 1921. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Evelyn, wife of Rufus Lacey, Houston; Barbara, wife of Clarence Gordon, Washington; Virginia, wife of Wilson Burgess, Houston; Joanne and Mazie, at home; five sons, John Albert, Houston; James, U.S. Air Force, Wilmington, O.; William Thomas, Canonsburg; Frank, Washington, and Curtis, at home; three brothers, William and Frank Kelly, Zanesville, O., and Joseph Kelly, Avella; three sisters, Thelma Fields, Claysville; Hazel Valladares, Camden, N.J., and Annabelle Williams, Brooklyn, N.Y., and 15 grandchildren. 

A daughter, Margaret, died March 11, 1953, and nine children died in infancy.
