Dirine Otelia Rajala

Young Lady of 22 Dead at Home at Vesta

Dirine Otelia Rajala, age 22, daughter of Mrs. Mary Rajala of Vesta, died Saturday afternoon at 1:05, after a lingering illness. The young lady was very well known in Vesta. Funeral services will be held from her late home, Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Internment will take place in the Charleroi Cemetery.

NOTE:  "The family name was originally Rajala but about 1910 the name was changed from Rajala to Riley. My grandfather (Emil) and his twin (Bruno) were the only ones born as Riley’s. For some reason when the obit for David and Dirine Otelia (sent in a separate email) appeared in the papers they used the name Rajala. The other sons, (William, Henry, Einar, Elmer and Emil) were all known by the Riley name."
