Annie Elizabeth Strain (1873-1923)

Annie Elizabeth Strain died at her home at Primrose Monday, July 9, 1923. Mrs. Strain was born in this locality and passed her entire life here. She was the daughter of David [Gordan] and Jane Harrison Gordon. She was united in marriage with John Strain on June 25, 1873. Mr. Strain died nine years ago. Mrs. Strain is survived by three sons, J. C. Strain of Essington ( Delaware Co, PA), J. H. Strain of Primrose and G. W. Strain of Rennersdale. She also leaves a sister, Miss Jennie Gordon of Pittsburgh, and a brother, James Harrison of Primrose. Funeral services were held at her late home in Primrose in charge of the Rev. Dr. Hairn of Midway, Wednesday afternoon.
