Anna England Lane was born 18 Apr1814 in Amwell Township, Washington Co., PA, the daughter of Robert and Anna Catharine Knestrick England. 

Anna married Daniel Lane about 1832 in Washington Co., Pennsylvania. Daniel was born 19 July 1810 in Amwell Township, Washington Co., Pennsylvania, the son of John and Catherine Baker Lane. 

Anna and Daniel Lane were the parents of:

Mary Jane Lane born 15 Nov 1833
unknown male Lane born about 1835
unknown female Lane born about 1840
Robert Johnson Lane born 14 Sept1842
James Polk Lane born 9 Mar 1845

Anna England Lane died 10 Apr1891 in South Strabane Township, Washington Co., PA, and is buried in Pigeon Creek Dunkard Church Cemetery (also known as Leatherman or Letherman Cemetery), North Bethlehem Township, Washington Co., PA.  

Daniel Lane died 10 Nov 1885 in South Strabane Township, Washington Co., Pennsylvania, and is also buried in Pigeon Creek Brethren (Dunkard) Church Cemetery (also known as Leatherman Cemetery), North Bethlehem Township, Washington Co., PA.

Anna and Daniel were devout Brethrens (Church of the Brethren or German Baptists, also called Dunkards) and were members in their early lives of the Ten Mile Brethren Church, located in West Bethlehem Township of Washington Co., and in their later lives of the Pigeon Creek Brethren Church, located in North Bethlehem Township of Washington Co.  South Pigeon Creek Dunkark Church was the daughter church of Ten Mile Church of the Brethren.  

Tin-type photo taken of Anna dressed in her Brethren "mourning" outfit (black dress and cape) a short time after Daniel died in 1885.
