
| Dr. Laughlin was born in Washington
Co. Dr. Laughlin founded the County of Rush, the town of Rushville and named it after his professor Dr. Rush who signed the Declaration of Independence.
Dr. Laughlin donated land and money for the first school, library, Presbyterian Church (it is still there), and the mill. He and Ruth are buried in the Old Lower Graveyard in Rushville. |
