Will of Jacob Kellar

In The Name of God Amen the twenty ninth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty one I Jacob Kellar of the county of Yahagany Farmer being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God for his Mercie therefour calling unto mind the Mortality of my body and Knowing that it is Appointed for all men once to Die Do Maker Constitute and Ordain this my Last will and Testament that is to say Principally and first all I give and Recommend my Soul into the hands of the Almights God that gave it, and my Body I Reccomend to the Earth to be Buried in a Desent Chritian Like Burial at the Discretion of my Executors Nothing Doubting But at the General Ressurection I shall Recieve the same Again By the might Lower of God and as Touching such- Worldly Estate wherewith it has Pleased God to Bless one with in this Life I Give Demise and Dispose of the same in the Following manner and form------------
First that all my Just Debts and Funeral Charges Be first- Laid and satisfied---------------
Item I give and Bequeth to my Beloved Wife all the Movable Estate I Now Posses Except the Carpenters tools and my Ryfle gun to my son Abraham while she Remained in my Name and after to be Equally Divided Wit him and my son Abraham and my Daughter Agness When they come to the Age of twenty one years------------
Item I Leave to my Beloved Wife one full third part of my Lands Wherecon I Now do Dwell With all the Appertanances thereto Belonging During hir Life and after to my Beloved son Abraham to him his heirs and Assigned for ever.---
Item I Leave and Bequeth to my Beloved son Abraham all my --- Rights of Land at Kentucky him his heirs and assigned forever and if in Case My said Son Should Inherit the Said Lands he Shall Pay----to my Daughter Agness the sum of Forty Pound current money of Virginia When She Arives to the Age of twenty one Years------
And Lastly I Do constitute Make and Ordain and Appoint--- My Beloved brother Abraham Kellar With my Trusty Friend James Frye and John Worth Executors of this my Last Will And Testament and I Do Hearby Utterly Disallow Revoke And Disannul all and Every Other former Testamento Wills-Legacies Bequests and Executors by me in any Ways Before Names Willed and Bequethed Ratifying and Confirme this And No Other to Be my Last Will and Testament, in Witness Wherof I have Hearunto set my hand and seal the Day Month and year Above Written


The Will of Jacob Kellar, deceased was probated on 30 Mar 1787.
