Will of John Craft
Written 9 March 1841

I John Craft Farmer of the Township of Morris County of Washington and State of Pennsylvania do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made and as to such estate as I may have at my decease.  I will and bequeath as follows, unto my daughter Polly Russell wife of Isaac B. Russell, Ruth Ross wife of Samuel Ross, Pricilla Russell wife of James Russell and Ailsy Ross wife of James (?) D. Ross it is my desire that all my personal estate be so divided between my aforementioned daughters so as to be equal share and share alike such same as I have heretobe advanced to my daughter is o be calculated in the division as aforesaid.  Samuel D. Ross having received in fulling implements seventy five dollars and Samuel Ross having received thirty dollars and should my wife Nancy Craft survive me it is my will and desire for her to have the same interest and profits in my farm that is in the township county and state aforesaid as I know do have and have received having made formed advancements to my sons Rec Craft, David Craft and Jesse Craft and Elizabeth Hinking, is the reason for my not bequeathing any legacy to those last mentioned children And I do hereby constitute nominate and appoint James Russell Executor of this my last will and testament. In testimony I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Ninth day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and forty one, interlined before signed-

Washington County. Be it remembered that on the 1st day of January A.D. 1845 Before me James Spriggs, Register for the probate of wills and granting letters of Administration in and for said county came William Creacraft, Esq and George Trey the subscribing witness to the aforegoing and attached last will and testament of John Craft, Dec’d who being duly sworn according to law, depose and say that they were personally present and did see the testator therein named sign this will and did at the request of the Testators sign their names as witnesses to the aforegoing last will and Testament. That at the time of his so doing the way of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge observation and belief-
