I Lawrence Crow of Pike Run Township Washington County & State of Pennsylvania Being weak in body but of sound disposing mind and memory do make publish and ordain this my last will and testament In the form and manner following. Principally and first of all I desire that at my decease God will receive my soul and that my body may be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors and as to such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this world I give and dispose of in the following manner. Item 1st I give and bequeath unto my well beloved wife Mary Crow the use of the place I now live on with the use of the dwelling house and outhouses on sd. Place during her natural life or so long as she may remain my widow. I also give and bequeath unto her my Family Bible one horse creature two milch cows six of the best hoggs that I have one feather bed and necessary bedding and her choice of the bedsteads and ? one bureau, one corner cupboard and its contents and as much of the potmettle as my be considered by my Executors necessary for her to do with one barrel of salt, the wool that has lately been taken off my sheep all the flour that I have at this time all the wheat that is in the barn also as much of the grain that is now growing on the place as will support her and the children and the stock that she may have for one year. I also give and bequeath unto her all the money she has got from her father William Riggs estate or that she may get hereafter. Item 2nd I will and bequeath unto my daughter Eliza Donaldson clear of all charge the bed, bedding, bureau, milk cow she has now in her possession. Item 3rd I will and bequeath unto my son Jackman Crow one fourth part of the oats and corn now growing on the place with all my Cooper tools excepting the crosscut saw. Item 4th I will and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Anne Crow one feather bed and bedding. Item 5th I will and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret Crow one feather bed and bedding. Item 6th I will and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Crow one feather bed and bedding. Item 7th I will and bequeath unto my two sons Clark and James Crow to each twenty dollars to be put to interest one year after my decease and to remain at interest until they severally arrive athe the age of twenty one years. Item 8th it is my will that all my personal property with the exception of what has been already above willed be sold by my executors at my decease and all my just debts be paid out of it and the remainder with what money is due me on book accounts and obligations be put to interest until each of my children above named severally becomes of age and as they come of age each one is to receive an equal share of said money. Item 9th It is my will that at the death or marriage of my widow that my place that I now live on be sold and the money arising from the sale thereof be equally divided between my children above named. Item 10th I will and bequeath to my wife Mary Crow all the hay that be made off the place. Now I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint James Donaldson and Jehu Jackman to be my executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and testaments by me made heretofore. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 20th day of June, in the year of our Lord 1835. Washington County ss In the commonwealth of Pennsylvania Be it remembered, that on the 24th day of August, A. D. 1835, before me John Grayson, Register for the probate of wills and granting letters of administration in and for said county, came John R. Gregg and Thomas C. Huggins, witnesses to the above and foregoing instrument in writing purporting to be the will of Lawrence Crow dec’d. who on their oaths administered as the law directs do depose and say, that they were present and did see the testator therein named sign this will, and did hear him publish pronounce and declare the same as and for his last will and testament, that they signed the same as witnesses at this request and in his presence, and at the time thereof he was of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge observation and belief.
