Shopps Cemetery

Shopps Cemetery is located just west of Trinity High School on Simpson Ferry Road in Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.  The cemetery is maintained by Shiremanstown United Methodist Church, 125 E. Main St., Shiremanstown, PA  17011.  The transcription is provided by West Shore YMCA Genealogy Club.  This cemetery was walked by John Henry Cocklin in the early 1950’s.  His brother, Eric Cocklin, rewalked the cemetery in 2001, verifying and supplementing the earlier transcription where possible.  The transcription was then typed by Peggy Briggs.  Both Eric and Peggy are members of the West Shore YMCA Genealogy Club.
