Witness Tree Chapter Membership

Any Patriots in Your Family Tree?

You may have an ancestor who contributed to the independence of our country during the American Revolution. If you live in south-central Pennsylvania, in or near Lancaster County, and are interested in the DAR, please contact us. We will work one-on-one with you to identify any patriots in your lineage. Belonging to the NSDAR gives you an opportunity to honor those who gave their lives to defend our freedom. Members honor patriots who continue to defend our freedom. We promote good citizenship in schools and the community.

How To Join

To join, a woman must be at least 18 years of age and be able to prove direct descent from someone who served during the Revolutionary War, with some exceptions, from April 19, 1775 (Battle of Lexington) through November 26, 1783 (withdrawal of British Troops from New York).

Even if you know very little about your Ancestors beyond your grandparents, we will be delighted to help you trace back your family history.

Interested in learning more about membership opportunities, read the NSDAR membership guidelines.

Coming to Meetings

You are welcome to come to the chapter meetings while you are working on documenting your family heritage. This is a great way to learn about the NSDAR, the Witness Tree Chapter, and interests of its members who are part of your community. Please contact us for a visit. We welcome guests. Our tea parties are great gatherings!
