WELCOME to the Witness Tree Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. We are located on the Susquehanna River, south of Harrisburg in Columbia, Pennsylvania. We have a long and rich history, having been formed December 11, 1897 by the first Pennsylvania woman to join the newly formed Daughters of the American Revolution: Miss Lillian Slaymaker Evans.

The Witness Tree comes from a now famous patriotic event that took place in September 1777 around a giant oak tree in front of the Donegal Presbyterian Church in Mount Joy.

Chapter meetings are on the 2nd TUESDAY of the month from October to May. Guests are always welcome! Please contact us for more information.
