I will be in touch soon with more info for you and to ask from you all, but for now, just know that I am particularly interested in:
The FOOTES: Arthur Delmer and Mary Ann (Bates); she was born 9 January 1900, I believe (possibly near Camptown...?) They have two living daughters, one son (who died as an infant; William?) and one living son (my father,) all still living: Wilhelmina Kathleen (Katy,) born 1919, married my mother's brother, Irving Monroe Harvey (twice!) and then in between, married John Sutton; Walter Kraig, born 13? April 1921, and Arlita (Tiny,) born in 1923? who married my mother's cousin, Richard Harvey, then married John Sutton's brother, Don. Katy still lives out on her farm at Sugar Run, I believe. I think Tiny lives near Tunkhannock (the new bridge) in the trailer park south of the river, on the east side of the road. I haven't been able to get ahold of her on my last few visits (in the past year or two.) If you can find a current address for her, I'd be grateful...!

Searching for information concerning Col. Joseph BURGESS and his wife Sarah as well as any HITCHCOCK family members. Col. Burgess moved to the Forkston area from CT. around 1801 and is found in Windham Township (now Forkston Twp.) for many years. In 1810 he built the first sawmill in the Forkston area which was partially destroyed in the flood of 1850. He is buried in the Forkston cemetery near his wife, Sarah. His wife was reportedly Sarah Park(e). I am looking for proof of that fact. Joseph and Sarah had several children including my Great Grandmother, Lucia Burgess. Lucia Married Hiram Hitchcock from Forkston in 1828. I am also curious about the GAR marker at Col. Burgesses' grave since he died in 1847. Any info on the above will be appreciated.

GRIST,
TAYLOR families in Eaton (Wyoming Co.), and Griste Flats (? in Wyoming County, formerly in old Luzerne Co.). George Grist, wife Loice Bradner, children Mary Grist (spouse Humphrey Taylor), Charles Grist (spouse Susan BAcon), Eunice Grist (spouse Artemus Sweetland), Joel Grist (spouse Lovina Shiner). George Grist, and Mary Grist are direct ancesctors, and moved to California after living in Grist Flats (not sure of its location in old Luzerne County, PA--anyone know?), and George from New london CT, born there in 1772. I suspect he was an early pioneer of Luzerne County (part of Wyoming county now). William Humphrey TAYLOR born in Eaton Township, 1796, married in Wyoming county, to Mary Grist, 1814, also went to CA, about 1850. William Humphrey Taylor's father was Obadiah Taylor, died 1830, from Bolton CT. There may have been a contingent of CT families that moved to what is now Wyoming county about 1780-90, then lived there for about 50 years, and some left for CA.

Seeking any info on
SCHULTZ, Fred Hilarious, b. 8 Feb 1881 in Noxen to Abraham and Elizabeth (MYERS) SCHULTZ. I have names, but no births of deaths dates for these parents. Other siblings of Fred were Bessie, Arthur (who survived all), Roy (who worked at the Picnic Grounds at Harvey's Lake) and Lawler (who lived in Delaware). I would assume that Abraham and Elizabeth were buried in either Ruggles or Stull, but that's also assuming they didn't move after Fred was born. Supposedly Dutch SCHULTZ, vice German. Came from New York.

My grandmother Helena Master HARDING was born in Meshoppen Pa. Wyoming County. She was born Nov. 17, 1888.I cannot find a birth certificate on her. On her death certificate it states her father's last name as MASTER, mother unknown. I thought Harding was her maiden name. She was either adopted by Harding or married to a Harding then Swift and last Bernard Teske of Scranton Pa. Who came with his family Gustave & Augusta Teske from Germany in 1892. Any info you have on the Master-Harding-Swift-Carminita-Barrett-Flatly-Everett would be great. My father was born in Scranton Pa. given up for adoption to Helena Harding who married a Andrew Swift and later divorced and married a Bernard Teske. Thomas Carminita and Alice Barrett were the biological parents from Dunmore Pa.If you have any pieces to my puzzle it would be wonderful.
