MacGillivray, Mary Jane
Mary Jane MacGillivray, 74, 195 Acadia St., New Glasgow, died Friday, July 1 in Aberdeen Hospital. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (MacDonald) Lewis. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and the CWL. She is survived by her husband, Joseph; six daughters, Barbara (Mrs James Stanislaw) and Mrs Dorothy Mascola, both of Manville, N.J.; Colleen (Mrs Dan MacCormack), Stoney Creek, Ont.; Donna (Mrs Paul Holmes), North River, P.E.I.; Patricia (Mrs Robert Morton), Ottawa; Jane (Mrs Leonard Knickle), New Glasgow; three sons, Joseph Jr., New Glasgow; Ivin, Linacy; Gregory, Trenton; three sisters, Mrs Lillian MacDonald, New Glasgow; Mrs Claire Watts, Ottawa; Katherine (Mrs Leo Thibeau), Newfoundland; three brothers, Joe, Halifax; John, New Glasgow; Harold, Linacy; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence and Allan. Funeral was Monday, July 11 in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Angus MacGillivray officiating. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or any charity.
