MacLean, David Arthur

David Arthur MacLean, 97, of 81 Acadia Ave., Stellarton, died Monday in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. He was born in Lansdowne, Pictou County, and was a resident of Stellarton for most of his life. He was a coal miner and a member of Sharon St. John United Church. He is survived by three sons: Arthur, Westville; Edwin, Greenwood; Melford, Stellarton; five daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Seymour, New Hampshire; Bertha (Mrs. Andrew Somero), Connecticut; Katherine MacLean and Gladys (Mrs. Richard Lynch), both of Stellarton; Agnes (Mrs. Ralph Peters), Toronto; 24 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Lillian Osborne; a son, Woody; four daughters: Laura, Emyline, Hazel and Priscilla. The remains are resting in H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Brookside cemetery. Donations may be made to any charity.
