MacLeod, Elmer George

Elmer George MacLeod, 65, of 25 Coll Ave., Stellarton, died Wednesday, May 11 in Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. He was a son of the late Hugh Allan and Sarah (Craig) MacLeod. He lived in Stellarton most of his married life and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Educated at the School for the Deaf in Halifax, he was employed for 20 years with Quality Cleaners, New Glasgow and also Bagnell's Laundry, Ltd. He was also employed as a janitor at the Frank H. MacDonald Elementary School and East Pictou Rural High School. Surviving are his wife, the former Jessie Baudoux; two daughters, Florence (Mrs Gordon Stewart), Linacy, Pictou County; Helen, Moose Jaw, Sask.; a son, Fraser, Boston; three brothers, Allan, Charles and Douglas, all of Westville; a sister, Mildred Wright, Westville; two grandsons. He was predeceased by twin infant daughters; a sister, Vivian; three brothers, Roy, Raymond and William. Funeral service was held Saturday in First Presbyterian Church, Rev. Murdo Marple officiating. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
