WILSON, Dr. Arthur H.
A.H. WILSON, WELL-KNOWN NEW GLASGOW DENTIST, DIES
New Glasgow--Dr. Arthur H. Wilson died at his Provost Street dental office this morning shortly after walking in from his home. He was 72 and had suffered a previous heart attack some 10 years ago. A native of Georgetown, Ont., he graduated from University of Toronto and came to
Pictou County following service in the Canadian Dental Corps throughout World War II. He had practiced before in Woodstock, Ont. where he had also served on the surgical staff of the Ontario Hospital there. He was a charter member of the Westville Rotary Club, but switched to New Glasgow when he opened a practice here, before being elected president some years ago. He was an elder in Trinity United Church. Dr. Wilson served in World War I as a young man, returning to take up dentistry. He had planned this summer to take in the 50th reunion of his class. He is survived by a son, Dr. Robert G. Wilson of Toronto; a daughter, Charlotte (Mrs. T. Lawrence Wood), Halifax and four grandchildren. His wife is the former Donalda Hayman of Westville. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
